The STAR (Social Transformation and Renewal) foundation is a registered charity in Jamaica. Its initiative, Project Star (“The
Project”), is a social and economic development undertaking created by the Private Sector Organization of Jamaica (PSOJ) in
collaboration with the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) to bring about societal transformation through targeted interventions in
under-resourced communities in Jamaica.
By working together, Project Star believes we can transform Jamaica into a place where everyone is valued and has the opportunity
to thrive emotionally and financially; “Everybody FAHWUD!”. Notably, the Project adopts a collaborative and consultative approach
to ensure that needs as well as solutions are identified and implemented by the target communities themselves. Project STAR
partners will include communities, government agencies, Non-government Organizations (NGOs) and individuals at home and in the
diaspora.
